Question 1

What platforms do online ICT teachers use in Sri Lanka?

Accepted Answer

Most online ICT teachers in Sri Lanka use Zoom, WhatsApp Video, or Google Meet. Some also use Microsoft Teams or Skype. The preferred platform is shown on each teacher's profile. Many teachers also send post-class notes and worksheets via WhatsApp.

Question 2

Are online ICT classes as effective as in-person tuition?

Accepted Answer

Yes - research and student feedback consistently show online classes are equally effective when conducted with structure. Many top-performing O/L and A/L students in Sri Lanka attend online classes exclusively.

Question 3

How much do online ICT classes cost in Sri Lanka?

Accepted Answer

Online ICT classes in Sri Lanka typically cost LKR 400-2,500 per hour for individual sessions. Group online classes can be as low as LKR 200-800 per student per session. Online classes are often more affordable than home visits because there are no travel costs for the teacher.

Question 4

Can students outside Sri Lanka join these online classes?

Accepted Answer

Yes - students in the UAE, Australia, UK, Canada, and elsewhere regularly join online ICT classes from Sri Lanka-based teachers. This is very popular for O/L and A/L revision, especially for students attending international schools abroad who follow the Sri Lanka national curriculum.

Question 5

How do I book an online ICT class?

Accepted Answer

Browse the teacher profiles on this page, click the WhatsApp button on any teacher you like, and send them a message about your child's grade level, subject needs, and preferred class times. Most teachers will arrange a short free trial class before regular sessions begin.
