Terms of Service

FindTeachers.lk is an online directory that connects students and parents with private teachers and tuition organisations in Sri Lanka. We are a marketplace — we do not employ teachers or provide tuition services directly.

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• Teachers and organisations must be based in or serving students in Sri Lanka.
• You must provide accurate and truthful information when registering.

• Free registration creates a profile pending admin review.
• We reserve the right to reject, suspend, or remove any profile that contains false, misleading, or inappropriate content.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of qualifications, fees, and contact details listed on your profile.
• You may not impersonate another person or organisation.
• By uploading a profile photo or logo you confirm you have the right to use that image.

• Browsing and sending inquiries is free of charge.
• Inquiries must be genuine expressions of interest and not spam or solicitation.
• All tutoring arrangements, fees, schedules, and disputes are directly between you and the teacher. FindTeachers.lk is not a party to those arrangements.

• Reviews must be based on genuine personal experience.
• Reviews may not contain defamatory, offensive, or false statements.
• We moderate all reviews before publication and may refuse or remove any review that violates these terms.

• Premium and featured plans are billed monthly. All prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and include applicable taxes.
• Payments are processed by PayHere. By completing a payment you also agree to PayHere's terms.
• Subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by law.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

You may not:

• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the platform using automated tools.
• Use the platform to send unsolicited commercial messages.
• Post content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights.
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or access accounts you do not own.
• Manipulate or falsify reviews or profile statistics.

The FindTeachers.lk name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. Content you create (profile text, photos) remains yours; you grant us a licence to display it on the platform. We may use aggregate, anonymised data for business analytics.

FindTeachers.lk provides a directory service only. We do not verify every qualification listed by teachers and are not responsible for the quality of tuition services. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform or interactions with teachers or organisations found through it.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Active paid subscriptions are not refunded on voluntary termination.

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

We may update these terms. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance. For questions, visit our contact page or email legal@findteachers.lk.
